Elizabeth Crespo

Elizabeth is a licensed attorney based in United States who primarily focuses on international environmental law. She graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2016 with an environmental law certificate, participated in various externships abroad and was a law clerk for the school's premier environmental clinic, International Environmental Law Project. In 2014, Elizabeth interned for the Ateneo de Manila School of Government, where she worked on forest management issues.

She has attended multiple UN climate change conferences as a member of the REDD+ Safeguards Working Group, where she advocated for stronger safeguards for emissions reduction schemes in rainforest countries, as well as for indigenous peoples' rights and ecosystems integrity in the Paris Climate Agreement. She also worked for the Ecuadorian organization CEPLAES (Centro de Planificacion y Estudios Sociales) as Gender Representative, tracking gender issues in the Paris Agreement.

Elizabeth also works as an interpreter and translator for environmental and immigration clients in Spanish and Portuguese.
